Document Services in Dubai

A document can be perfectly valid where it was issued and still need authentication before a UAE authority, bank or employer will rely on it. The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs describes attestation as certifying the authenticity of the signatures and seals on documents issued inside or outside the country. Our attestation services in Dubai begin with a simple question: where will this document be used, and what does the receiving party expect to see?

The route depends on where the document was issued. MOFA’s published guidance indicates that documents issued abroad are generally attested first by the issuing country’s foreign ministry and then by the UAE embassy or consulate there, while UAE-issued documents may need the issuing entity’s attestation before MOFA’s. Originals also need to be in Arabic or English, or accompanied by a legally certified translation. Requirements vary by document type and can change, so we confirm the current position at the start of each request.

Many files need more than a stamp. Where a translation is required, we coordinate with legal translators accredited by the UAE Ministry of Justice. Where you need to authorise someone to act for you, we help organise the power of attorney details and coordinate the notarisation step. The notary public verifies the identity, capacity and consent of the parties and decides whether to proceed. Majlis Hub does not translate, certify or notarise documents itself. Our role is preparation, coordination and follow-up, with one point of contact who keeps the purpose of your request in view from the first copy to the final handover.

Who this is for

  • Companies preparing corporate documents for use in the UAE or abroad
  • Business owners whose licence, bank or residency file asks for attested documents
  • Employers and employees attesting educational or professional certificates
  • Families attesting personal documents such as marriage or birth certificates
  • Shareholders outside the UAE who need to authorise a representative here
  • Anyone holding a document in another language that needs a legal translation

What we handle

Attestation route review

We confirm where each document was issued, where it will be used and which attestation steps appear to apply, then share a clear checklist.

Document checks before submission

We compare names, dates and details across your documents before anything is submitted, since applications that are not completed correctly can be rejected.

MOFA attestation coordination

We help prepare and track attestation requests through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ channels, including documents that first need attestation in the issuing country.

Legal translation coordination

We arrange translation into Arabic or English with legal translators accredited by the UAE Ministry of Justice, and check that names and figures match the original.

Power of attorney coordination

We help you organise the powers you intend to grant and the details of each party, then coordinate the notarisation step with a notary public. Where the wording calls for legal advice, we suggest you consult a lawyer.

Documents issued abroad

For documents issued outside the UAE, we outline the steps usually needed in the issuing country and coordinate with you or your contacts there so they happen in the right order.

Orderly handover

We return the completed documents with a short record of what was done and anything to keep in mind when you use them again.

What to have ready

  • Original documents that are not laminated, or the original digital versions where they were issued electronically
  • Clear copies of passports and Emirates IDs for the people named in the documents
  • Where each document will be used and the receiving authority or organisation, if known
  • Any attestations or stamps already on the documents
  • For company files: the trade licence, memorandum of association or board resolution involved
  • For a power of attorney: details of the principal and the attorney, and the powers to be granted
  • Any existing translations, and the language the receiving party requires
  • Your required date and any deadline set by the receiving party

  3. 03

    Coordinate each step

We coordinate submissions, translators and the notarisation step as agreed, and keep you informed as each one moves.

  4. 04

    Return and record

We return the completed documents with a short record of what was done and any follow-up worth planning for.

Questions we are asked

Your questions,
answered.

What is document attestation in the UAE?

Document attestation in the UAE certifies that the signatures and seals on a document are authentic, so authorities and organisations in the country can rely on it. The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs provides attestation through its website and app, and through UAE missions abroad. Majlis Hub prepares the file and coordinates the attestation steps for clients in Dubai.

How do I attest a document issued outside the UAE for use in Dubai?

A document issued outside the UAE is generally attested first by the issuing country’s foreign ministry and then by the UAE embassy or consulate in that country, according to MOFA’s published guidance. Further steps can apply depending on the document and where it will be used in the UAE. Majlis Hub confirms the current route for your document and coordinates the steps with you.

Do I need a legal translation for document attestation in Dubai?

A legal translation is usually needed when a document is in a language other than Arabic or English. MOFA’s published conditions ask for originals in Arabic or English, or accompanied by a legally certified translation, and documents processed by a notary public in Dubai must be in Arabic or carry an Arabic translation by a certified legal translator. Majlis Hub coordinates translation with legal translators accredited by the UAE Ministry of Justice; we do not certify translations ourselves.

Can Majlis Hub notarise a power of attorney in Dubai?

No. In Dubai, a power of attorney is notarised by a notary public, for example at Dubai Courts, through a private notary or through an electronic notary service. Majlis Hub helps you organise the details, arranges any translation needed and coordinates the notarisation step, while the notary verifies the parties and decides whether to proceed.

Can someone else attest documents on my behalf in the UAE?

Yes. The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs states in its published FAQs that anyone can attest documents on your behalf. Majlis Hub’s attestation services in Dubai cover preparing the documents, coordinating the submission and tracking it, with you informed at each step.

Can you guarantee an attested document will be accepted?

No. Whether an attested, translated or notarised document is accepted is decided by the authority, notary or organisation receiving it. Majlis Hub checks the file against the published requirements and the recipient’s request, and tells you early if something looks incomplete.
